This training program will provide important information needed to help
safely operate a powered lift truck.
Some examples of the information presented will be proper truck
operation, how to perform daily inspections and load stability.
Fire Safety Training and Prevention
This important safety training applies to
the placement, use, maintenance, and testing of portable fire extinguishers
provided for the use of employees.
Various types of fire extinguishers will be used to put out actual
fires. Individual fire safety plans will
be reviewed for each company.
Lock Out/Tag Out Training
This program covers the servicing and maintenance of
machines and equipment in which the unexpected
start up of a machine or equipment, or release of stored energy could cause
injury to employees. This training will
also cover the control of such hazardous energy to help prevent such injuries.
The ladder safety training provides
information regarding the safe use of a ladder.
Some of these considerations are loads,
angle
rungs,
slipping and other
requirements.
This training covers the prevention of slips, trips and falls in the
workplace. You may not be able to change
your workplace, but you can recognize and report dangers, work to eliminate
hazards and use safety devices and equipment.
Many precautionary examples will be discussed.
This program provides information that will help
employers ‘guard’ their machines.
"Guarded" means shielded, fenced, or enclosed by covers, casings,
shields, troughs, spillways or railings, or guarded by position or
location. Examples of guarding methods
are guarding by location (positioning hazards so they are inaccessible to
employees) and point of operation guarding (using barrier guards, two-handtripping devices, electronic safety devices, or other
such devices.
Each employer shall
be responsible for the safe condition of tools and equipment used by employees,
including tools and equipment which may be furnished by employees. Also included in the training will be
information on how to properly inspect tools for safety.
This
training program applies to all occupational exposure to blood or other
potentially infectious materials. It is
the employer’s responsibility to develop an exposure control plan and provide
training to those employees exposed to bloodborne
pathogens as part of their job duties.
